About HeadsUp Headshots
HeadsUp Headshots is Jacksonville's premier headshot photography service, run by photographer Michael Glass and established in 2025. HeadsUp proudly serves Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, and other locales throughout Northeast Florida and South Georgia.
The HeadsUp promise
Our core promise is simple, and it is what sets us apart from many other headshot photographers: we deliver beautiful, consistent headshots across entire teams, every time.
If you have multiple offices, large teams, or regularly hire and onboard new staff, consistency is everything. That is why we don't "wing it" from session to session. We set your look and lock it in by recording precise measurements and key information so your headshots stay repeatable as needed.
Your whole team hits the HeadsUp standard and stays cohesive on your website, LinkedIn, proposals, pitch decks, and wherever you may need them.
Why this matters: one mismatched headshot can make an otherwise polished team page look accidental. Consistency signals leadership, organization, and trust, and it helps your team look like one unified brand instead of a collection of unrelated photos.

Who you'll be working with
HeadsUp is led by Michael Glass.
Although HeadsUp was established in 2025, Michael has been a commercial photographer for advertising agencies since 2015 and has been behind the camera since 2007.
Growing up, he got an early look into professional portrait work by following after his father, Joey Glass (of Joey Glass Studios). Michael attended business portrait sessions and corporate events, and even modeled for Pick N Save catalogs as a kid. In 2007, he started borrowing his dad's camera to explore creative photography and never looked back.
Michael's other company, Glass Creative Co., is proud to work for clients such as Cowford Chophouse, Collage Restaurant, Chef's Garden Catering & Events, The Cove Social Club, Denise Carol Models, Aviles Street Merchant Association, and more.
Michael is also a member of Professional Photographers of America and fully insured through the organization. His agency work has appeared in retail signage, billboards, publications, newspapers, magazines, visitors guides, and across a wide range of social media platforms and websites for national and international brands.
What a session feels like
This is not a cold, assembly-line experience.
Yes, we are efficient (especially for teams), but the session itself is relaxed and guided. I'll coach you through posing and expression, adjust details as we go, and keep the vibe easy.
I'll be honest: there's some camera and posing "magic" involved in a great headshot, and it can feel a little awkward while I'm positioning you. That's totally normal. The results will speak for themselves when you see the images. I'm easygoing and I'm a bit of a jokester, so come ready to smile and I'll take it from there.
Lighting, style, and retouching
Studio lighting + natural retouching
I don't skimp on style or philosophy.
I work with studio-style lighting because it gives me control over your look. When photographing full teams, that control is critical. It is also what makes true consistency possible from one date, location, or office to the next.
Same look across offices and dates.
My philosophy is that light and direction should do most of the work. I aim to have everyone looking great in camera, and I keep retouching natural. Every delivered photo is shot and retouched with care, never beyond the point of looking like you.
Where sessions happen
Currently, all photo sessions are on-site (home or office).
If you don't have the space, or you just want to get out of the office for the session, I'm happy to coordinate a suitable studio that matches your project, whether it's an individual headshot and branding session or headshots for your full team.
The scheduling process
- Book your shoot.
- Quick pre-session walkthrough. I'll reach out a few days before your session to confirm details and expectations.
- Guided photo session on-site. Relaxed, efficient, and coached the whole way through.
- Gallery reveal + selection help. I'll call you a few days after the session for a digital gallery reveal and help you select your favorites.
Timing and what to expect on shoot day
Individual Sessions
Please anticipate about 15 minutes before and after your session for setup and breakdown.
Team Sessions
Please plan for about an hour before and after.
That time matters, because it's how I test, lock in, and record your settings so we can recreate the look later when your team adds new hires or needs a refresh.
Pricing
Prices start at $250 for individuals and $80 per person for teams up to 100 people (please see our Team Headshots page for full pricing and size-based rates). Enterprises with multiple locations or over 100 people are offered by quote.
